I always thought that smiley was an expression of shock and horror. That's why it's "damn." It never looked to me like a smile or a laugh.

Wow, not even sure what to say. This is terrible...being forced to marry the man that brutally violated you...I can even imagine how she was feeling. One of those times where I could understand why someone would kill themselves.
