When were black people ever not Conservative?
We only voted Democrat because they pandered to us, while the Republicans were on some pull yourself up by your boot straps shyt.
Well, we have the means to pull ourselves up now, so we don’t need to be pandered to.
We just need to be left alone to make our own way.
When you break it down to that, what do the Democrats offer over the Republicans?
I can see why you would vote more liberal if you’re gay or an immigrant, but for the average ADOS, the only difference we see is one will lie to our face while stabbing us in the back, the other comes with his sword and shield in front, like this is what it is, compete or die.
We respect the latter way more than the former.

There is a difference between being black with conservative values and being a black conservative within the current framework of the GOP.

My breh co-worker and I touched on this the same way. Black people really subscribed to 'conservative' values of church, family, structure.
Politically republicans have more in common with the dems they hate so much (using courts to tell people what/how/when rather than policy/laws).
Ultimately we ain't getting left alone though.
In what sense? Black small businesses have been devimsted and the increasing cost of living is destroying most of our only source of generational wealth. Not to mention current net worth is some sub $5000 is major metro areas as we speak

This is the nuance that most people don't understand. As a black person, you can have conservative values but to align with the American Conservative movement, which has ALWAYS been historically anti-black and actively worked to disenfranchise blacks, it's pure stupidity. Notice, she's a young black person who never actually lived and worked in the real world so she has been misguided by social media and right-wing propaganda.
