This might be what he needed, a little over the top, a little more theatrical. Some character to put him over the top because the in ring is already there, the look is already there. He doesn't want to end up having to wait like a decade to break off and become something besides a Tag Team specialist like Jey, this angle might be the ticket.

Now it's solely on Creative.

I agree

...but Tez shouldn't beat Melo right now tbh. Tez gains little from beating the new guy on the block and Melo loses everything by being thrown behind Tez in the theoretical pecking order without them first establishing Montez as a guy pulling singles wins regularly.

Melo lowkey need to beat Bobby. Then lose to Tez. Which will start stirrings of whose really the leader of The Pride with the eventual goal to get Tez over while Melo moves on to a program not involving the only other black people on the show :hubie:

Pride interferes and costs Melo. Happens against next week against Dawkins. Bloodline it. So Melo gotta go back, hat-in-hand... and get him some backup.

Cue whooping of tricks, etc.:yeshrug:

And yet bum ass MFs like Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed continue to get consistent promo time on tv :snoop:
Those are HHH guys. Reed is fine as a midcarder, butyou know HHH is grooming him for a main event title run.
Y'all gone get enough of tryna Janetty Dawkins
Unlike some people I think both of the Profits could be successful as solo acts, but for some reason they're reluctant to do it. The thing people forget about Jannetty is that he had zero charisma, when he didn't have HBK to help carry the load he couldn't handle the pressure.

I don't follow WWE so maybe I'm missing something. And you do bring it up, but why does this seem like this whole situation just ends with the black talent cannibalizing themselves.

that's basically all this angle is tbh.
there's a concerning consistence of sticking all the people of a certain ethnic group together to go into programs. Happening with the latinx folk right now too.

I guess maybe it simplifies doing press targeted to certain cultural groupings/locations... But I'm personally very against targeted advertising toward racial groups with the brands WWE works with. The match with the three athletic black women at mania was sponsored by Wingstop. And the mexican/rican throwdown was sponsored by Minute Made Agua Fresca :francis:
