Monsta Beatz recently chopped it up with Thedo on episode 89 of his “DaTakeOver” podcast (who have chatted with Fee Banks and Mannie Fresh in the past) for an hour, which you can listen to below.
During their conversation from the 32:40 mark, the New Orleans production duo revealed Lil Wayne is the most mainstream music artist that they have worked with. If you didn’t already know, they produced Wayne‘s “I’m Good” featuring Lucci Lou off No Ceilings, as well as “Vizine“.
The producers also spoke about receiving a phone call from Universal Music Group about having a beat on Tha Carter V; however, the song was pulled last minute. They even added that they produced Migos’ upcoming “Fantastic” collabo with Tunechi, which we heard a snippet for in 2015, and discussed producing Curren$y’s “442” track featuring Tune and Birdman!
