wuts up guys? so i was talking to this one beat maker i came across who said he's looking for high quality mixing and mastering of his beats. he's in touch with one label from LA that is charging him ultimately $240 a track. I was just seeing if this was normal cause I don't know too much about this part of the industry. I thought I saw in here at one point with @Ayo!-BEZ that mixing/mastering could be had for much cheaper. Lemme know ur thoughts guys...might be a great opportunity for someone

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
sounds bout normal bro. guy who mixed donuts wanted 300 a track from me to just mix. madlibs dude from beat konducta series wanted 500 a track. 4th disciple wants 150 a track but only 30 to master per track and he aint ina studio with all the equipment. i went and hit a few studios in nyc (cutting room), they were charging hoiurly in that range.i only been doing beat cds so i like to mix my own shyt anyways but ima spruce it up with some mastering. i been researching some spots but most were on east coast. ive seen people on audio forums with businesses want bout 300 an hr. try and have a few tracks in order and do a cash deal. cash no tax. these dudes will bend with money in their face

also, someone on this very forum was chargin shyt but mastering is a science, i wouldnt give it to just anyone.

any PRO engineer worth his weight isnt charging less than $30 hour and that is really on the cheap side...now with that being said there are tons of up and coming guys charging less still doin good work and maybe wont charge hourly just a flat fee...try and look for and assistant to work with at a studio....
