I know I'm on a crusade with this concept of wrestling/MMA aspects, but hear me out. The two brands often go together like water and vinegar, from fans of each product shyt talking to the Cormier/Bucks and Cody mini feud on Twitter. However, both brands are inseparable from one another.

Exhibit A:

Dan Severn's short time in the WWE. Fresh out of the UFC, Severn had a short time within the WWE promoting the NWA feud along with his entry within the failed Brawl 4 All, which he beat The Godfather during the first round but sadly withdrew afterwards.

Exhibit B:

Brock joining UFC. In 2006, Brock decided to train for MMA and the results were simply amazing. Dude took the promotion by storm and elevated the legit feel of the company as he defeated Randy Couture becoming the UFC Heavyweight champion in 2008.

What I'm trying to say is that maybe just MAYBE, wrestling and MMA needs to bridge the gap, such as the legendary Antonio Inoki tried to do in the 2000s which actually gave a bit of life to the every dying NJPW, when the wrestling business itself started to be on the decline with the fall of WCW and ECW. Imagine a supershow involving Rizin and NJPW wrestling just legit shooting on each other, or even UFC/WWE going at it for the sake of blood lusting fans:wow:. Dream matches like Rollins/Mcgregor, Hunt/Stroman. Hell, maybe a Rampage/Henry. This has got to happen and it needs to happen for the sake of the business:feedme:.

Antonio Inoki proved this business model doesnt work long term (Kazuyuki Fujita) and will wind up just getting guys hurt (Takayama taking an ungodly beating from Don Frye).

True, but his idea was actually innovative for it's time. It just needed some tweaking in the work/shoot department.
