MM/Maidana PPV numbers Prediction: Why the delay?

I don't understand this. It seems like these ratings would be public record in a day or two. How hard is it to calculate how much you made and divide. It's 2014 and it's like the numbers are being counted by hand and sent in by carrier pigeon. Fox can tell 30 million homes watch Superbowl in 2 days. World Cup numbers come in quicker.

Where are the official PAC/Bradley 2 numbers? Fight was 3 weeks ago?

Do UFC numbers take this long on PPV? When will official MM/Maidana numbers come in?

The UFC doesn't release PPV numbers, the numbers you see are estimates. Is it the same in boxing?

They usually only hurry and release the numbers in the event some controversy happens and people request refunds, for Instance the Ortiz debacle........

This is what I mean, what exactly is the process in getting these numbers? Cant they tell instantly how many people click "order" or call in. They never take 6 months to take money out of my account when I order a fight

I was trying to figure this out myself last week, on why PPV's trickle in, it's too complicated for me though


From my understanding since 9/10 of the world doesn't pay they bill on time and simply pay the past due amount this is what causes pay per views to trickle in, as people catch up with their current balance months down the line..............

When a fight goes through the roof the cable systems are more anxious to report the numbers. When a fight doesn't go crazy they take their time. From what I am told by industry sources, Mayweather-Maidana likely will not crack a million buys. More realistically, I am told the number will be between 800k and 900k.
