Competitors will have the opportunity to practice and scrimmage on Friday, November 2 beginning at 1:30pm with the competition taking place on Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4. Passes are available now.
In Dallas, teams will compete in a dedicated tournament area with a feature station showcasing select matches leading up to the finals on Championship Sunday. A large video screen above the competition area will broadcast gameplay for spectators to congregate and watch the action LIVE from the show floor.
The Broadcast and Casters
The three-day online broadcast will be cast by legendary Halo Pro Kyle "Elamite" Elam and Halo coach and personality Andy “Bravo” Dudynsky. Fans can watch the competition LIVE at www.majorleaguegaming.com via a dedicated Halo 4 stream beginning Friday, November 2 at 5pm CST.
Bracket Format & Seeding
1. The Event will support as many as 256 Teams in a Double Elimination Bracket.
2. The Event will have a Winners Bracket and a Losers Bracket. After losing a Match in the Winners Bracket, Teams will enter the Losers Bracket. A Match loss in the Losers Bracket will result in elimination from the Event.
3. Teams will be seeded randomly.
Match Format
1. All Matches will be Best of 3 Games, unless the Teams have already played each other in the Event.
2. If Teams are scheduled to play each other for a 2nd time in the Event, their Match will expand to a Best of 7, include the previous Match, and pick up where that Match left off. For example, if Team A beat Team B 2 Games to 0 in the Winners Bracket, the Best of 7 will resume with Game 3 and Team A leading 2 Games to 0.
3. If the Teams scheduled to play each other in the Final have not yet played against each other, an initial Best of 3 Games Match must be played. If the Team that came from the Winners Bracket wins the initial Match, they will win the Event. If the Team that came from the Losers Bracket wins the initial Match, the Match will expand to a Best of 7, include the initial Match, and pick up where that Match left off. For example, if the Losers Bracket Team beat the Winners Bracket Team 2 Games to 0 in the initial Match, the Best of 7 will resume with Game 3 and the Losers Bracket Team leading 2 Games to 0.
4. The winner of a Final Best of 7 Games Match will win the Event.
