Eh, it's an easy grift…

If the GOP and Manchin (53 seats +1) don't vote in favor of it, then it won't pass. McConnell wouldn't allow for a vote if he didn't have the votes (Hastert Rule).

Fauxgressives can further attempt to blend in because there's no cost. They'll just call daddy beforehand and tell him they'll only vote in favor if it's clear it won't pass.

Then the centrist and liberal rabble will fawn at how progressive these people are as if the above wasn't the calculus.
