Mission Impossible: Fallout and The Equalizer 2 were disappointing.

M.I. was too predictable and it really takes suspending ones belief with the script/plot to a whole new level

I think most of the budget goes to the action scenes, set locations and Tom Cruises salary.


As for the Equalizer 2, this was a pure money grab. I think they probably had to pay a LOT of money to convince Denzel to do this

The writers/directors showed how lazy they were with the plot twist by having the Lyft passenger try to kill Denzel. I call it lazy, because they assumed most people watching would be too stupid to pick up on that twist until it was officially revealed later on.

I just hope they don't do a Part 3 Denzel isn't Liam Nelsen status with these generic action movies.

It upped the ante, put big stakes in the plot, brought back characters, tied the whole series together without feeling forced, while also giving Ethan and everyone else involved more layers. And it’s action scenes were incredible. What more did you want?

I haven't seen Equalizer 2 just yet but Fallout was crazy. That shyt was 120MPH the whole way and never let up. Loved it. It brought me back to the old action movies I grew up on

It did tie together. His contact was max’s daughter from mission 1. Showed off Ethan’s motorcycle skills from mission 2. And closed the loop on his relationship with Julia, which was a through line for parts 3, 4, and 5.

And it’s a spy movie homie; most spy movies have a plot of bad guy wants to do a thing and good guy has to stop it
