I don't know about you brehs and breherettas but ever since I've started training for 5 years now I feel extra :flabbynsick: if I miss even one day that I normally reserve for lifting...

Work, getting injured and sick made me miss a total of 5 DAYS this week...fukking bullshyt :to: nikkas sitting here typing thinking I'm going through atrophy and shyt...I hit a PR on deadlifts two weeks ago and wanted to :takedat: this past weekend but couldn't because of the flu :snoop:

Plus I ate some cupcakes yesterday so now the carb bloat gonna have me feeling like

I know I'm not the only one out chea in the cold.

Health....lower back fukking everything up. See the random gym thoughts thread for an essay on it :heh:
i know the feel breh....i caught a sprain out of this world around my lumbar 5 years ago...i was out for a month and a half before i even considered walking on a treadmil :heh:...when your back is out there isn't a goddamn thing under the sun you can do to alleviate it other than medication...when i was prescribed valium, i took too much and got extra fukked up and got had really REALLY low blood pressure...it got so bad that it took me 20 minutes to tie a shoe..had to go to the ER 2 times in 8 days :snoop:

long story short...take your recovery slow as hell...and eat less

My problem is that the pain went away once and then flared up after playing ball the SECOND time. It didn't bother me at all when I played 3 days earlier.

It's just frustrating now knowing what the cause is and if it'll flare up again. I don't want to get duped into a long ass "rehab" plan for no reason...

:ohhh:I am having the same issue with my back I was playing ball the other day and it made my back feel locked up and tight(Low Back and Hips). As long as a stay lifting carefully its not to big of an issue, but it has definitely been a recurring one. I could probably write an essay on mine too:russ:.
As for the massage and chiropractor, it definitely helps a lot but its hard to continually afford. Best advice I could give is find a good stretching routine to keep you in the gym.

Yeah its definitely expensive for some folks...but needed at least every 3 to 6 months...i went from a :flabbynsick: 307lbs 5 years ago to 190 a couple years ago and now creepin around 220lbs with my bulk...the point is with the development of muscles...i have pressure issues around my upper back/neck area that are common issues with lifting over a significant period of time...

if you and @HHR are avid ballers...then in all likelihood that life is taking a toll... if you haven't already...go get checked out...take that 3 or whatever weeks off then come back fresh...its rough but its better than being put permanently out of commission :usure:

Im gonna have to stop playing ball for a while. Lifting causes no issues, its the high impact and quick movements. As far as getting checked, I found I have curves in my low and upper back both large enough to cause severe pain. Last year I had to take the almost the entire summer of 2013 off and lost a bunch of gains. At this point I'm making sure I'm doing preventative stuff everyday so I can stay in the gym.
