Late as hell but holy shyt! I JUST got put on to this show in this random thread a few days ago (that didn't even have shyt to do with the show) and i just finished watching the first 2 seasons.

:whoo::wow::whew::to:

Curtis, Nathan, Alisha, Simon and Kelly...

That OG cast is one of the GOAT casts. I aint been this entertained by a teen team premise since i was maybe 5 years old watchin season 1 of the muthafukkin power rangers... and even thats more childhood nostalgia bullshyt than substance.

And plot/premise aside.. just for a second... just wanna say that between the first 2 seasons of this show and the Luther series... American television got me fukked up with how shytty they portray black people (walking dead :pacspit:) compared to some of this British shyt i've seen so far.

Curtis being a GOAT track and field runner, having the best super power out the bunch (imo), and actually being a decent fukking human being who had the 2 baddest females in both seasons fiending for him (Alisha and Nikki)... :wow:

Granted, I didn't like that they slutted Alisha out. Her character angle would've made sense if she were ugly b/c then the idea of men lusting after her (or "wanting" her) would've been a whole new world for her to get lost in. But, as she was, she was already used to being desired so i felt they should've played it from jump as her already being insecure/skeptical about a man's true intentions (finding one that actually likes her for her, not just lust) and have the new powers just magnify her concerns.

or they could've altered her powers to make it more manipulative (and useful), causing people to momentarily simp for her, and portray her as already having a history of being manipulative/entitled (b/c of her good looks) long before the storm ever occurred. That would've added a better dimension to her and Curtis's/Simon's relationship development than the "reformed slut who can't touch" angle. And yea, i read somewhere that they gave some other female some type of "simpish" power over men later on in the series... but i think Alisha could've benefited from it instead. On the positive, i salute them for having a mixed black girl be the standard of beauty on the show, just didn't like that she basically got ran through in the process (they did a solid job of dignifying and romanticising the character through it all, i guess).

Finally... Nathan. This muthafukker is one of the funniest pieces of shyt i have ever witnessed on television! The charisma, the jokes.. aint shyt could be happening plot wise and just having him interacting with the cast would have me :ohhh::russ:

I felt it was a little random and rushed to pair him up with the preggo teen and all that, but i figure it was either that or kill him off cuz he wasn't coming back for another season. Him leaving and nikki dying had me like :to: tho

The original 5 + Nikki (Curtis's girl)... I kinda wish they had all just walked off into the sunset or some shyt and the next season just start off with a whole new cast of 'misfits'.

but yea, Season 1, Ep 1 and 2 for those curious:

no appreciation? favorite moments? etc?

i was gonna try watchin season 3 but couldn't get past the 1st ep. Thought the new powers introduced were very weak, i can't find a single positive in this new 'direction' for Curtis's character (and have no interest in watchin it develop) and the Rudy guy isn't bad but it all just seems played out with all of them headin back to community.. like basically starting all over again but with the new guy forced upon us to take nathan's spot.

Pretty girls are always the most insecure ones. Her power was fitting for her.

Also lower your expectations for Season 3.

lol the first time she was in reg clothes i was lookin at them jeans she had on like :ooh::ehh: she gotta fatty..!

but then i noticed her midsection.. then her titties .. then her face again  and that seemed to be my reaction to her every time she was on camera, always on cue.

and to be real, i couldn't understand what any of them were sayin half the time, took me several listens at times to get the slang and dialogue

maybe so, but they were all but useless for the shoe. i'd have just prefered for them not to slut her out.

I'll just post what I did in another thread, just I caught up like last week too

no one responded to me though lol

I just caught up with the show in like 5 days. I need somewhere to pour my heart out about the show so I hope you guys don't mind :takedat:

-I'll start off with the fact that I can't believe they got rid of my man nathan after two seasons. he was the best character on the show. at when he fukked that grandma

-Alisha :noah: goddamn she was fine. I preferred her in the beginning though when she hadn't been tamed by simon. when she was sucking on that banana :noah: sad she got killed. the storyline with her and simon could have kept going, but I guess they felt it had run its course.

-simon. dude was funny to me. I liked him as the guy in the suit. Every time I saw him with alisha I was pissed. At least when she was curtis I could vicariously live through him.

-Curtis I like him :myman: but sometimes I felt like he was just there to fulfill the black guy quota. He wasn't as interesting as the rest of the characters, but somehow he's the only original remaining. The storyline with him turning into a girl was interesting, but I couldn't even be attracted to the girl that was playing "curtis" :scusthov: He's got cool hair though

rudy- I hated him at first cause I kept comparing him to nate. but I've started to fukk with him as the show has progressed. That girl that he slept with that liked anal :wow:

Seth- Probably my second favorite character on the show. He's a cool motherfukker.

Kelly- she was ugly, hated her voice, but she had nice t*ts I guess. glad she's gone.

I don't fukk with finn at all, but I like Jess :shaq:

-The casting directors must really like mixed chicks

- at how all the probation workers get killed

With all that said, I really like the show. looking forward to the 3rd episode :salute:

Season 3 wasn't that bad. Sucks that Nathan was gone, but Rudy was funny in his own right. You eventually forget about Nathan.

Saw the first episode of the new season. I think i'm good.

yea, i thought more people were in on this show.

but with what you posted, i liked Simon originally but not as much when he was his future self... more so because of the plot direction.

Like I thought the series reached its absolute apex at the midway point of season 2, right after Future Simon reveals himself to Alisha and tells her of their future together. For me, i didn't like that shyt but i respected it because i remembered the ep with Nathan's brother givin everyone the drugs that inversed their powers and had Curtis seeing into a future where he was a superhero and kissin on some asian lookin chick that ended up being Nikki.

So I'm thinking, oh shyt these cast of characters really are going to evolve into future superheroes on some x-men/jla/avengers shyt... and there must be some huge catastrophic event that happens that forces Simon to get on his Future Trunks steez.. or perhaps he may be evil (and simping) b/c it makes no sense why he's had to direct if not flat out save the cast in all these other subplots if the big event hasn't happened yet... i was like  at the possibilities...

Turned out that Curtis's vision was just a costume party tho :snoop:

Turns out the asian lookin chick doesn't even make it past the season :snoop:

Turns out all the times Future Simon had to save the cast (like against the tattoo guy, or the cult group mind controller chick... or even knowing Nathan was buried alive after it) ended up still making no sense b/c how would present Simon have even survived all those events (along with Alisha) the first time around to make it to his future or know what Nathan could do?

Not to mention him waiting to jump down and take the bullet for Alisha makes no sense when he had plenty of time to stop the shooter without getting anyone killed

And of course, the big one for me, is that he didn't warn Alisha about what would happen with the whole fake Jesus storyline and how all of them losing their powers would get Curtis's girl killed (the same girl who he purposely sets Curtis up with by leading all of them to her apartment suite) :why:

So nah, i thought future simon and how they decided to wrap up season 2 was trash with so many plot holes and nonsense, even tho the actual build up of it to the midway mark was epic.

I agree, I think they could have done better if they had a few more episodes for season 2. Season 1 was just so epic though lol.

and I was thinking the same damn thing at the bolded, I was so dissapointed. Here I am thinking they're going to be some sort of supervillians. We wanted it one day, but it was the other way.

Yup. Nathan was pretty much GOAT

:wow: @ Season 1 and 2.

I was surprised that Simon didn't become a villain he had all the traits. Then I find out the show decided to whitewash him and turn him into a good guy because he has fan girls out the ass.
