Minimalist Approach For Us Gadget Lovers. U there yet?

Have you noticed yourself not being interested in half the ish that comes out these days?

The tons of phones, tons of tablets, 3DTV, countless 'thin notebooks', eReaders, handheld 'gaming' devices, etc etc etc!

Have you found yourself not being interested in "upgrading" all the damn time or having the latest part 2, part 3, GameIII, same GameIV, same GameV, etc etc

I think now more than ever...I am close to taking a very minimalist approach to tech. Notebook or tablet, ONE gaming console phone..etc.. and this coming from a gadget lover....but all this ish is starting to overlap each other on a more regular basis. Its cool for techies/gadget lovers like us....but at some point we will not need much new ish.....unless it's for mere spec bumps.

bought ipad 1 then...ipad 2 now ipad 3.....

apple is one of the worst offenders.... the longest Ive had a Tv is 2 years...smh

even my ipod speakers... i went from the apple to the bose to the b&w zeppelin to the b&w zeppelin wireless

The only gadget I upgrade on the regular is my phone. I'm more interested in getting gadgets I don't have rather than upgrading the ones I do all the time.

Yep, phone will be the only thing soon and that is getting to the point where it's like 'what more can it do'

I usually wait and buy 1 device in each genre that will hold me for a long period of time. Whether that be a phone, camera, laptop, etc.

I usually get one device per category and rock with that. I rarely ever get the max out of any device so I don't see the point in buying more hardware.
