I haven't seen a PEEP about this movie until we started looking for a movie to go to Saturday. It was pretty good and it stayed mostly factual from what I know about the battle. US pilots were acting like kamikazi pilots
There were a few eye rolling moments, but most of it was solid. They didn't get as melodramatic and "Murka!" as they normally get in these flicks. They did cut the Yorktown getting owned though, which led to some post-battle fukkery they never touched on.
Definitely popcorn quality
7/10 stars from me. Special effects were piff, you would think they build whole WWII airbases and fleets. Only one scene looked obvious (bomber crashing).
