1st. Go to that thread if you haven't already.

2nd. Has anyone got a handle certain keywords to use or ways to phrase the requests, so it produces a picture that you described? I've been hit or miss so far.

I just found out. That double colon works better than a comma.

highlander guards the taj mahal :: metal dog sleeps in grass :: amazon shoots a bow :: majestic :: cinema --hd --ar 16:9

Produced much better results.
i'm not 100% on midjourney specifically, but there's a lot of tricks for AI generators in general

like, 'crop' or 'close-up' other movie terms; HD stuff like that, 'photo realistic' can help.

but i think the more interesting stuff is like, being able to 'uncrop' an image and then compositing a few images together to try and get both the facial features of a close-up plus the composition of the full-frame stuff which usually doesnt't do as good a job with fine details.

  • I've gotten better results when I put what I want upfront and then how I want it rendered at the end.
  • Putting --test --creative after your prompt will improve your renders.
  • You may have to go through a few variations or refreshes before the AI gives you the image that you want.
