Dem nikkaz in Redmond on those bath salts if they think they winning with that shyt. Nobody is choosing that shyt over an IPad.

At least the N7 only had the Kindle to compete with. The new Ipad Mini will be successful just off the strength of the Apple Brand, but if the N7 drops to 99 bux, you'd be nuts to cop the IPad mini for triple the price.

MS should have gone for the mini tablet market instead of fukking with Apple at that price point. 299 would have been perfect.

I tend to not give a shyt about this tech war crap (Although I do stan for 360), I've never even used a tablet before, but even I can see that matching price with Ipad is insane. They needed to be at least 100 bucks cheaper.

I got the new iPad and a Nexus 7...

with the iPad i paid $100 for my cover/keyboard...I'm going to cop the surface, I really think a move needed to be made in the tablets field. All these companies making blown up cell phones; atleast MS is trying to spark innovation....

And the way it will intertwine with their new ecosystem is what's suppose to be the icing on the cake.

Also I head the top tier model will be exactly like the Windows 8 shipped on PCs; anyone know if that's true? Cause if it is, all you got to do is install virtual box and load up Jelly Bean and you can rock both at the same damn time. You could also add Ubuntu to that as well and have it boot into XBMC.

I have an iPad and love it, but it has serious limitations. Namely an inferior OS experience and the lack of a digitizer pen. Writing and drawing on this thing is a huge pain. As far as using it for consumption, it does a good job, but the fact you need to use iTunes makes it seriously inferior to the Google tabs.

Well writing and drawing is extra...not required so thats not an issue. I have a stylus and it works just fine on my other iPad. THe only thing that other tabs have over the iPad is storage space as usual. But that can be fixed wit Dropbox or other cloud services.

I mainly use my iPad for Evernote, books and reading comics. Oh and Retina display>>>>>>>>>>>whatever goog tabs working wit. I do love that keyboard on the Surface though.

It will be a better product, but the iPad has the market at that price range.

You HAVE to undercut them and then raise the prices slowly. This is a bad move on their part.
