Microsoft Security Essentials VS. Sophos?

I get free Sophos from my school, is it better than MSE? i hear a lot of good things from MSE. but which should i choose? both are free to me

as a total package as well? like antivirus, firewall etc etc?

As an anti-virus its great, free and top notch. It also doesn't hog resources like other AV software. I find windows firewall with the combination of my router sufficient enough.

Just switched to MSE from Kaspersky. Never going back.
