Microsoft Says DRM Has Its Advantags. Orly?

There are a "lot of advantages of having your content assigned to you digitally" and the Xbox One has been designed with the used market in mind from the beginning, Microsoft Studios corporate vice president Phil Spencer has told Edge magazine.

Asked for his position on the used game market, Spencer said: "I think the whole idea of a secondary market is important and it'll be important in the next generation, and we've designed with that in mind from the beginning."

He added that DRM can be very beneficial: "We think there are a lot of advantages of having your content assigned to you digitally – we did that on 360 with cloud-saved games – and we want to do that with content".

"We understand there are implications... just know that we recognise the importance of that market and we've designed with it in mind from the beginning."

He said further details would be shared at a later point.

Microsoft is yet to give a definitive answer on how Xbox One will treat used games.

The sad part is when they are ready to reveal things at E3: Microsoft will show games, on top of games, on top of games! There will be trailers EVERYWHERE!; first party, second party, THIRD PARTY games all introduced as EXCLUSIVE! Call of Duty will make a huge appearance! They'll show off some exclusive downloadable shyt that only the Xbone will get (or at least something that they will get months ahead of the PS4 and WiiU). We'll get a few corny jokes and a performance from Usher, and THAT will end the E3 show for Xbox.

Later, when the press asks why M$ never addressed the issues that concerned fans they'll reply:

Problem is that they cancelled ALL interviews before and after their show on Monday.

Now why would they do that?

Microsoft is fukking up. It's like they are intentionally trying to ruin the Xbox legacy. This amount of fukkery cannot be an accident. They don't want to be in the video game business anymore, the Xbox two is probably going to be a cable receiver.
