Huge fan. So many great actors appeared.
Favorite eps:
- When Crockett almost goes crazy imitating a serial burglar/rapist and acts like him in order to catch him.
- When Crockett gets amnesia and turns into a killer for a crime family and Tubbs risks it all to help him regain his memory.
- When they go to NY to pursue a case.

I think my Mom started letting me watch Miami Vice in the 90's when it was syndicated on FX, I always had a taste for the darker side of books, movies, TV, and I fell into the show heavily, even at like age 11 and 12. I would try to put my friends on too lol

Crockett's girlfriend overdoses on cocaine
Crockets girlfriend is a heroin addict
Shadow In The Dark
There's one in season 5 about a snuff film I like
I think one called Pure Miami with that scumbag Ted Nugent edit: Definitely Miami
Bruce Willis as a wife beating arms dealer

The show always appealed to me, because despite any 80's music or style, it's a very dark, nihilistic show, in which no one ever really wins, Mann was famous for those last few minute endings where there really was just a sense of dread and foreboding, no celebration. It also played heavily with themes of the dual nature of cop/criminal, and the cost of that job.

The first 3 seasons are probably the best, and most consistent, it went off the rails a bit, in the last seasons, though good Vice is always good. Also, this movie is clearly the inspiration for Bad Boys (1995).

I remember when I first discovered this show. I was a freshman in college in 84 and despite not having anything going on would not be caught dead in my dorm on a Friday night. I discovered this show when I went to a Halloween party and half of the dudes there were wearing slacks with shoes and no socks, sport coats with the sleeves rolled up, and a 3 day stubble of beard as their costumes I was like WTF?
Favorite episode - season 2 Out Where the Buses Don't Run. Crockett and Tubbs chasing a mysterious drug lord with the help of a seriously burnt out ex detective played by Bruce McGill. Great episode .
Crockett : "You knew about this?"
Dude : "Yeah, I helped him build the wall!"
:gladbron:
Also Crockett and Tubbs driving out to the meet up at night in that whip with Brothers in Arms playing in the background.
:blessed::blessed:
I don't remember watching the show much past the second season. Maybe I will try again. I bought the Dvds of the 1st season but was disappointed with the way they cut out the music and the video quality was seriously lacking
