and the cost of engagement rings should be cheap similar to the cost of the groom's ring.

Frankly, I think weddings are way overpriced and should be much cheaper. fukk all the extra stuff like a bridal shower, bachelor party, engagement party. All unnecessary and expensive.

I can understand the gesture of buying your girl a wedding ring, but he shouldn't have to pay for the wedding as well. fukk man there was a time when the bride's parents used to pay for that shyt, plus provide a dowry to the groom. Not only that, but brides came with VIRGINITY.

My thing is... why is the bride's ring so much more than the groom's ring? Folk dropping 10Gs on a ring that they could use on a house or go into savings. It's just silly too me.

buy a cheaper ring. Buy a diamond from a broker and get it set.

Cost should be split. Women will drop those high expectations if they have to cough up some money.

I have heard of women that buy their own rings or help with their own rings so I guess it depends on the couple. With that said, I don't think a dude should pay any more than 1 month's salary for a ring. If he's going over that then he needs to re-evaluate.

I been looking for a diamond for the past 3 months..its all the same..people claim that they can get a better deal and its all the same bs to me once I look at the specifics... I purchased my setting in July and the diamond is the worst damn part...
