I wouldn't say he cured his own cancer. The doctors did by performing surgery and removing the cancer infected parts of the colon. He just prevented it or got lucky that the cancer didn't resurface by eating healthier. We could all use a better diet.

I thought they did the chomo and the radiation before the surgery to make the tumor small enough and then surgically cut it off?

It should be obvious that society in general apparently dont want us thinking 'outside of the box.' Because the chance to possibly discover a better or simpler way of doing something threatens the dependancy on those "In business" and hence the economy.
