i still got my asr and mpc hooked up to ableton, i use em as midi controllers for instruments and drum racks now
i also have them as audio ins so if i want a certain feel or effect i can get it but mostly what i'll do if i use them is sample into the asr then record from asr to ableton and keep all files in comp
with the effects and parameters on there i can get a hardware sound, i have enough experience to know how to do it
my mixes in ableton just sound a shytload better and beat creation is so much faster, just throw that mpc groove template on the drums and i'm good with an amp effect 15% wet
too bad i was stubborn
i can still throw on the hardware tho and use it normally when i get nostalgic cuz it's all hooked up the same ableton is just another midi cord
