Bright Writer Max Landis Accused of Sexual Assault

Last night on Twitter, one of the actresses from Max Landis’ hit YouTube video Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling accused the creator of sexual assault. The accusation came in response to a Netflix US tweet promoting the recent release of the Netflix Original Bright, starring Will Smith and written by Max Landis.

Ana Akana, who played the female version of Batista in the Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling video, responded to the promotion stating it was “Written by a psychopath who sexually abuses and assaults women.”

As of now, these are simply accusations, but Akana wasn’t the only one who took to Twitter to back up the comments. Comedy Central Corporate actor Jake Weisman tweeted that fans should “Definitely watch that big Netflix movie coming out, written by that fukking psychopath who is one of the worst people alive.”

Even well know writer and stand up comedian Mike Drucker hinted at believing the accusations toward Landis, tweeting about how his father, John Landis, used his influence in Hollywood to cover up things that his son did, very similar to the controversy surrounding Harvey Weinstein.

Jake, I have exactly entirely 100% no idea of whom you’re talking about but I just hope he doesn’t have a powerful father in Hollywood who’s covered up for the fukked up shyt he’s done

MAD Magazine Editor Allie Goertz tweeted that she couldn’t imagine someone who is more scared in a post-Weinstein world than a famous director’s son. Later she states that has already spoken with multiple publications about her tweet, giving on-the-record comments to all of them on the subject matter. “I don’t know if they’ll ever come out but from what I can tell, each place is taking the story very seriously.”

So far multiple stories, from multiple different people, in multiple different sects of the entertainment industry seem to support Akana’s sexual assault claims. If true, then this could be a disaster for both John and Max Landis, as Hollywood is finally coming down hard on cases of sexual assault and abuse.
This one doesn't surprise me at all

Breh, I tried to watched that video again to see if it holds any weight, MAN:scust:! That's some one trick pony shyt with that video. I know it was satire but yeesh, at least try to smark'ing it up a bit and know your shyt:gucci:

His last diatribe about Triple H is one of the most smart-dumb pieces of garbage I've read related to wrestling. People looking for his takes is as dumbfounding to me as when sports media does it with Michael fukking Rappaport :mjlol: :scusthov:
