Same huge Regina Hall fan but I am not into horror especially when it's so unoriginal.

I'm on the fence when it comes to black trauma horror flix now, didnt think much of it initially but its one after another now

Anyways the movie was decent, the ending was lame tho

I thought the plot was all over the place, like is this movie about a witch or slavery and racism





also wasn't much depth to the characters and there were a lot of loose ends imo.






@ them adding a Rachel Dolezal esque character, nice plot twist but it was a pointless unresolved conflict

nikkas sure know how to run something to the ground. Every black feature has been a carbon copy of Get Out/Jordan Peele esque. And the shyts dont even be good

This wasn't bad. Definitely had get out vibes, but I'm ok with that.

This was a basically a great value Get Out. With that said had the movie stuck the landing (ending) it would have been a good movie in its own right.

Watched this yesterday based off of the trailer (thought it looked pretty good), and it was a train wreck. Movie was not cohesive in the slightest, and outside of Regina, I didn't really care for any other character...even the lead. I still have questions like

What was the deal with the lead's (Jasmine) family? Why were they not close? Why were there maggots in the home Regina stayed in?

And to be completely honest, I could've missed some parts because halfway through I kind of just gave up on it. The ending pissed me off too but it's whatever lol.

4/10, I'd give it lower but I love Regina and she at least made me laugh (unintentionally) in some parts.
