I've never played the first one. I've played 10 mins of the second one, and the first mission from mass effect 3. It was on PC so I didn't really feel the experience cause of wacky controls l.

I saw it at eb games for $30. Did I miss out ? Can I still enjoy the outdated graphics of 1&2. I've read the first is sluggish and really outdated compared to 2 & 3.

Should I just play 2&3 and forget the 1st?

First was trash in my opinion in regards to the gameplay and controls. Not worth it to go back after how much ME2 improved upon it in my opinion :yeshrug:

First one has the best story by far, 2 is the best overall game in the series, 3 has the best combat. Get all three otherwise you , the series is about "decisions" that span through all three games. You're missing out on a lot! if you let the computer generate them for you instead of you coming to a decision and making them. The only thing I didn't like about the first was the driving, however it's the most "RPG" out of them and a really fun experience.

I was planning to buy the trilogy. I don't think I can play outdated graphics and clunky controls just for the story.

best video game trilogy ever. going back to play the first one is going to be a bit of a struggle, as the combat is not good and driving that mako around each planet is a pain in the fukkin ass, but the story and the decisions you get to make that factor into the overall story make it worth it. play all 3, in the end you will regret nothing

Don't get too entangled with the trilogys story it will be a disappointment if you're too heavily invested

You would be doing yourself a huge disservice as a gamer by not Atleast playing the first 2.

It take ld every little decision you make and carries it over to the next game. Go on a missile where a major character dies guess what they don't be available in the next game

:beli: I lost Legion during the suicide mission and had to start from the beginning of the game because of where I'd saved. :snoop: Worst thing is that I had done that mission once before perfectly so I knew the ideal squad formations but I decided to mix it up.

I played mass effect 1 & 2 religiously but I played the first only only on 360. Then I went away from my Xbox and beat 1 & 2 on my laptop with all the DLC included and decisions connected. Now that my laptop is fu**** up I didn't either bother to play 3 because I want everything imported which is now impossible for me.

So until they drop a ultimate edition trilogy on consoles including all DLC f*** EA :manny:

Loved the series but heard 3 was trash anyway :yeshrug:

All 3 are amazing games. The 1st is sluggish but by all means it's still an amazing game. Don't let these picky ass gamers deter you from playing some of the greatest games of the last generation. It's more than worth it to go through the 1st game, as it has the best story, and IMO it's just a classic game. Devs set out to make replayable piff and they did.

The only thing I hated about ME1 was the rachni mission. Always wanted to get in and out on that. Everything else was fire. :blessed:
