Netflix has picked up a third season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

The Season 3 renewal comes a little more than a month following its second season launch on March 8, International Women’s Day.

The series, starring Krysten Ritter as New York City PI Jones, was the second in a four-series Marvel package to launch behind Daredevil and followed by Luke Cage and The Punisher.

In Season 2, New York City PI Jones (Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.

Along with Ritter, returning Season 2 cast includes Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones is executive produced by series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg, Ruelle Tucker, Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb, who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television. Jessica Jones is produced by ABC Studios in association with Marvel Television.

Just started season 2 so can't comment on that yet. But I did notice they didn't mention iron fist as part of the Marvel series. Was it because it's not or because it sucked so bad that they don't want to acknowledge it? :russ:

They didnt have a defenders storyline until iron fist was completed. Whether that was poor planning or they were so confident about what they accomplished is anyone's guess. But they are doubling down on him, first with the announcement of s2 and then back tracking on not doing HFH (having him muscle in on LC which was its own thing).. So to answer your Q, oversight

I thought Season 2 of Jessica Jones was masterful in terms of storytelling, character development and pace. Extremely impressed.

No the action won't wow you like Daredevil or Punisher. It's not as suave and cool as Luke Cage. It doesn't have a true villain as captivating as Season 1's Killgrave either, but if you like what I mentioned above and strong women don't intimidate you, I'd say watch it.

Totally understand if it wasn't everyone's cup of tea though.

Loved season 2, even though Kilgrave was a beast in S1.

Never seen a group of such fukked up people in my life though. Everyone wasn't shyt. :dead:
