what "big" comic storyline can this be? they aren't gonna let Mackie eat. it's gonna have to be a big teamup type movie like everything else.

They're pretty much done with big solo affairs. Everything going forward is multiple heroes even if it's name has one. Hell the last Captain American movie was a backdoor Avengers movie.

Sam leading Bucky, Peggy from the multi-verse, old man Cap, Bradley and his grandson, etc. Just go ahead and kill the Sharon Carter stuff offscreen and never mention her again.

pretty sure Falcon and Winter Soldier is gonna be the project that everyone turns on as more shyt comes out, b/c thinking back on it, they really dropped the ball. it was 33% good.

I called this 4 years ago. I think they go with Captain America Corps style, with different people assuming a Cap mantle. They already have US Agent & Falcon Cap, but add Patriot, Jack Flagg, someone to assume Nomad, and some of the United States of Cap characters.

the second they announce that though the internet is gonna flip out that Sam isn't getting his shine as Cap. So if they do that, they really need to lean into the fact Falcon is the head honcho... but even then you know the vocal fukks online are gonna cry about it. tough spot. on the flipside, if they just make a straight Sam Wilson Captain America movie, the ceiling is like "15th best in the MCU" and we all know it.

i'm just gonna assume Cap 4 will be the Thunderbolts movie in disguise with Sam in the forefront of the marketing
