Marvels Captain America 4 (Date TBC)

So I went through each hero and can safely say the only human ones who don’t have love interests are
Sam
War machine
Kate bishop
Yelena
Captain marvel
Monica
Nick fury(Sam is old though this might be why)
I think in this one they’ll give him one but I honestly don’t know who they’ll give him.
He was a side character until very recently so it makes sense why he didn’t have one.
Wanda was the only side character that had a romance because the vision story was important.
Unless you just want to see Sam sleeping around or something.

The female characters are excluded because they're irrelevant to the topic. Female characters don't need need a love interest in the hero package as much as male ones do. A female heroes need for a love interest is a separate, debatable topic tho

That leaves War Machine and Fury. War machine is a side character yes but he more than likely has a wife and kids. It would need to be seen in his upcoming show that he has something. But ultimately there are kids that like War Machine because he has a cool suit but nobody has any real attachment to Rhodes

Now Fury is a special case because Samuel L Jackson's cool transcends everything else so Fury has always been good on that end

Sam Wilson doesn't need to be seen sleeping around but he at least needs a woman that's interested in him romantically. That's how heroes look in male(and female) minds. Steve wouldn't be as admired if he didn't have hoes

I was searching for love interests and Lelia Taylor sounds like she would be in this one.
She's a journalist and a social activist it's easy to put her in this film.

[Ghost Utmost]

A LOT of people forget that no one really fukked with Cap until after Winter Soldier. That was the film that really made people fall in love with the character.

So it really depends on what they do with Sam in this one.

I feel like I was damn near alone in liking First Avenger.

But Winter Soldier was a pivot point for sure. Then right into Civil War for the greatest Trilogy in the MCU.

And Cap was just killing it in general whenever he showed up. Perfect ending for his character, too.

Damn. Makes me realize that Sam got a helluva row to hoe.

But you're right. If they do the movie right people will ride with FalCap.

Like, if Cap 2 woulda been anything like Thor 2 or IM 2 .. the character would not be an icon like he is today. If Cap 2 woulda been wack then the character would be DCEU Superman/Batman status now.

Naw Marvel BLEW the correct story they needed to tell.

I don't think I've seen a show blow what should have been an automatic home run like I saw with this one.

Falcon should have never ended that show as "Captain America".

He should have ended the season disgusted by "America" and being "Captain America" as a black man.

Falcon and The Winter Soldier should have been iconic. It should have been a superhero version of get out with a black superhero getting his wake up call.

But they chickened out on making White America the villain and made Falcon an agent of White America.

Can you imagine if the show ended with Falcon throwing away the shield and the Captain America costume and walking away after realizing what the country did to another Black Captain America and having his eyes opened at the reality of being a Black Captain America

^ that's HOW it should have played out and that would have legitimized the Falcon character, Marvel in terms of awards along with giving us a classic.

I mean I hate how sam doesn’t have powers but he does represent the forgotten black soldier of America now
Black soldiers saved this country and are the real backbone of America. I have a grandpa that fought in ww2 and he told my dad to tell his kids and I have to tell mine. He doesn’t want that forgotten.
but he also told us the army is no place for a black man so it’s complicated
if they focus on Sam being that then it could work.

A Crazy Wakanda Upgrade for Captain America​

In Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: The Art of the Series, development concept illustrator Wesley Burt revealed some alternate abilities that Sam Wilson’s new Captain America shield would have had.

The artist discussed how he was “looking for a way to minimally add an element to the shield,” one which would “hint at the Wakandan upgrades before you see them used:”

"Ryan [Meinerding] asked some of the [Visual Development] department to take a little bit of time and think up some new ways that Sam could use the shield, more specific to him and his own physicality with it… when I was thinking about the tech rim piece, I was looking for a way to minimally add an element to the shield so as not to distract too much from the shield itself but still make it feel like it could have a believable tech addition and hint at the Wakandan upgrades before you see them used.”

One version of this “Wakandan shield tech add-on” included “rim pieces shoot[ing] outwards and fill[ing] in to make a larger energy protective barrier.” The cherry on top? This energy would have the “Falcon wing motif in [its] design.”

In the concept stage, they could even completely detach and wrap up enemies to prep for arrest.

Marvel Of course, Red Wing also had various redesigns as well, as it sported a new red, white and blue color scheme.


he wings also had alternate uses as well, with one of them being a parachute if the need ever arose.

At one point, Sam's new wings could even hold and throw his shield for him.
