They are waiting for 2025. They going to give the FOx actors a proper send off and it has been rumored they would have to pay them if they used the character even if recasted.

They already recast Mr Fantastic for a cameo. And we seen Fox reboot the X-men entirely and didn’t have to pay the OG actors based on the last movie.

I actually think there's some truth to this because every single former character has been portrayed by the previous actor. My guess is they have some sort of iron clad contract.

You can make a case they wiggled out of Mr Fantastic with an alternate reality so it wasn't the ' linear ' storyline or maybe Grufford declined.

The X-Men movies were all over the place ranging from good at best and horrific and unwatchable at worst. So replacing them wouldn't be shyt. It's gotta be something else. There's not enough nostalgia built in that we couldn't lose the previous actor and the story wouldn't be better.

The rumor only applies to mutants. Believe what you want, it is only a rumor. But it is playing like that in real life. To ignore it is just increasing the frustration.

Ignoring how badly Marvel Studios is running is equally as valid.

I joked to some other poster before the writers strike that Superman Legacy would get into production before FF when FF had a headstart on production.

And four months latter Legacy has a start date and its 4 leads cast. FF is still in rumored casting mode. That’s not contract red tape.


and before you go Legacy is one movie, FF was announced by Feige in 2019. Gunn is running the entire DC reboot and got GOTG3 across the finish line in 2023.

I am just explaining why they used them in cameos. It has nothing to do with contracts
