I love Jason Segel as an actor but not for the Thing. If he’s cast as Ben then I have lost all hope for the movie taking itself even slightly seriously. Gonna full on just be a “comedy.”
A Fantastic Four movie could be the moment where the MCU reestablishes itself and what they’re trying to do overall. Leaning less into comedy and more into sci-fi would be smart.

You don't have to sacrifice one for the other. Especially for the 4, who trend closer to more light hearted than many Marvel characters
