Anyway, Doom will make a cameo in First Steps, and we'll see what they do with the FF and Dr. Doom in future movies.

They can't both stick close to the source AND have them from a diff universe, not as lifelong friends, coworkers... Have a female surfer. Have their powers gotten by different means... Etc etc
You either doing the source or not. Every time they do the source, it's good. Every time they put that old Disney flavor on it, it's mid to terrible.

Well, they have to introduce the FF somehow, and it makes sense that they would be from a different universe from the mainline MCU (and then they get incorporated into it by the end of the movie).
Shalla-Bal being the Silver Surfer is also because it's a different universe. Norin Radd will probably show up later in the MCU, so

this. this is a lot of shyt. he didn't need to become a fullblown leader of the MCU moving forward. they didn't even make him shave his crustache. it's just Pedro Pascal with a little Paulie Walnuts in his hair. he might be great, who knows, but nothing about dude says "Reed Richards." also, i have doubts he's gonna sell the chemistry between him and Sue as dude has no chemistry with women on screen. this is minor, i don't really care, but he's like the Rock in the sense he never has chemistry with chicks on screen.

He's a reliable actor, and reliable actors will stay getting work. Most of those franchises are one and dones. Another one has in him in a helmet, and homie was in ONE CSI episode back in 2012.
Even in a shyt Kingsmen sequel, homie was a bright spot.

i've seen him in 3 things - Stranger Things - thought he was a standout of that overrated show. Quiet Place - literally could have been any actor to ever exist playing that part. Gladiator - meh, he was aight. other brother was better.

Because the Russos and RDJ have signed on to tell their OWN story about Doom NOT the FF4’s director’s. They will want a clean slate to do that.
You have to remember this isn’t a planned Thanos like build. The original villain and story of the next Avengers movie was meant to be about Kang with a completely different director. J Majors got fired and they quickly had to make a new story/bring in a new villain. This movie (FF4) was never written up as a preview for Doom before you see the character again in the next Avengers movie. If it was we would have known RDJ was playing Doom when the FF4 cast was originally announced.
Doom certainly can exist without the FF4 in the mcu. The same way Ultron had NOTHING to do with Hank Pym.
