the narrative is gonna be Phase 4 was bad b/c of "politics?" they went female heavy, but almost every project was mid as hell regardless of pandering. "Marvel is bad b/c that amazing movie The Eternals had a gay man be gay for 12 seconds." no, all the projects were average and the multiverse shyt sucked. big copout, that was 25% of why the phase stunk.
Ms Marvel was basically the best new character in the phase too. a young muslim girl. i mean, her show and her movie weren't very good, but few projects were. They made a friggin Moon Knight show and it absolutely sucked shyt. i don't know much about the character, but how did that show suck? should have been amazing

I agree. Part of it was the plan was to make Black Panther the main character this phase and they made the horrible mistake of not recasting when Boseman died. Thor was crap and it started a white man who was one of the original avengers. Then Kang got replaced and now we’re here and honestly I think recasting RDJ as Doom is a mistake. The reason they messed up Moon Knight is they took him from being violent Batman and focused on the magic stuff.
Overall they are still to focused on Hollywood and have gotten away from the comics.The only reason I think FF will be good is they’ll likely use it to introduce “Time Runs Out” which was the best thing Marvel has done outside of X-Men in Krakoa in the last decade.
Which oneHopefully they knock it out the park because there’s only one good F4 movie.

They absolutely should have recast him regardless of the phase or outcome, but just honestly speaking, recasting him wouldn't have saved the last phase. They were gonna do what they did: streaming expansion, feeling invincible throwing money at everything, figuring out the congruency later.
T'Challa would've just given them another billion dollar movie next to Spider-Man No Way Home and Deadpool/Wolverine, but even then it's like you mentioned with Thor and we can add Dr Strange: both exteremly popular white hetereo males as the remaining pillars of the infinity war saga, and their movies fumbled in storytelling/execution.
