Marvel picks Director for Thunderbolts Movie

I'm excited to see this flop.

they kept everyone comic accurate. no race-swaps for the anti-woke crusaders to jump on. Just a team of antihero-adjacent white-presenting background characters. shyt gonna hit the ground with a thud.

that said, they're willing to spend millions to:

• establish The Sentry for later use
• explain why Bucky is missing from CA4
• justify Yelena taking up the Black Widow mantle

because I can zero other things this movie will accomplish besides wasting money.

I could see a scenario play out to where this ends up making less money than BNW, but is the overall better flick. Would hate to see it flop tho, shyt has insane talent behind the scenes.

White or Black Dude (Comic Taskmaster)->White Woman (MCU Taskmaster)

Basically no one made a peep about the changes to Ghost, though. Taskmaster is so different to the point it pissed off a lot of comic fans, and there is some anticipation regarding wherever or not she is making it out of this film.

I'm pretty sure their story was that they were villains PRETENDING to be superheroes which is why someone like Baron Zemo was their leader.

Florence Pugh sexy to me, ngl. Ghost can get it too. Might check this out in theaters. Last MCU film I saw in theaters was Spider Man: No Way Home.

this movie still feels like it's missing someone. Bucky can't be a main event hero. David Harbour is purely comedic relief and is absolutely gonna wear out his welcome. Florence Pugh is incredibly likeable, not necessarily Yelena. feel like they're putting too much stock in that specific character just b/c we like the actress. the stupid russian accents get old after 12 seconds, tbh.

i don't know. i'm in, but something tells me there's gonna be a lot of "Cap 4 and Thunderbolts should have just been 1 movie" takes in a few months

Most folks are excited about what Sentry will bring, but I think Wyatt Russell will be the real standout here when it’s all said and done.
