Mobster movie mastermind Martin Scorsese’s next project, “The Irishman,” will feature Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, but his old friend Joe Pesci reportedly wants nothing to do with the film.
Pesci, who hasn’t been on the big screen since 2010’s relatively unknown “Love Ranch,” “repeatedly has told Scorsese no” regarding involvement in the flick, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
However, the director is still “hopeful” that Pesci can be persuaded to reunite with DeNiro, with whom he has starred alongside in three Scorsese movies — “Raging Bull,” “Goodfellas” and “Casino.”
“The Irishman” is the film adaptation of Charles Brandt’s book “I Heard You Paint Houses,” and revolves around Frank Sheeran (DeNiro), who shockingly was a union guy with mob connections and was even tied to the death of Jimmy Hoffa.
