he represented something great but he wasn't perfect.

Great man when it came to a cause but his plan wasn't planned fully just in case he was murdered. One of his last words with his friend was he lead his people into a hell hole because financially we wasn't ready and that was the next battle.

Me personally I prefer learning about the flawed individual who fought for what he believed in, but had fear in what comes next. That to me says 'I can be that guy too, he wasn't perfect', rather than him being this Christlike figure that none can truly be.
