So I have a punching bag, but I have no real clue on what a BEGINNERS WORKOUT for cardio should be like. I'm just tired of getting winded so easily (any martial artist or athlete knows how much it sucks to get quickly winded; plus it's easier to get ko'ed that way). Can anyone offer some suggestions?

Also, for flexibility: I've been gaining more flexibility slowly but surely, but I really want a legit workout that is tried and proven true. Any suggestions on that, as well?

jump rope, running and burpees are great cardio workouts to improve stamina. just gotta keep at it and your conditioning will improve. start with a couple of miles at a moderate pace until you feel that you can go longer and faster.

a common routine with a punching bag is jump roping for 3-5 minutes and then working the punching bag for 3-5 minutes, throw in some push-ups and/or sit-ups if you want, rest for 60-90 seconds and repeat. as far as flexibility i do yoga once a week, maybe more depending how tight i feel, and the difference is night and day for me. my hip and back are stiff and tight so i have to stretch them often. also stretch before working out.
