A Blaine woman has been charged with sexually assaulting two 15-year-old boys while they were in the Twin Cities for a hockey tournament.
On Friday, the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office announced it had charged Allison Leigh Schardin, 38, with one count of 3rd-degree criminal sexual assault and one count of 4th-degree criminal sexual assault.
According to the criminal complaint, both Schardin and members of a youth hockey team from Colorado were staying at a Roseville hotel on Jan. 14.
That night, Schardin met members of the team at the hotel’s hot tub and told them about problems in her marriage. Later that night, she messaged one of the boys on Snapchat and asked to come to his room.
Once inside the room, Schardin asked two of the boys sexual questions and asked them how old they were, noting that they were “young enough to be her kids,” according to the complaint.
Schardin then allegedly had sexual contact with the two boys.
The next day, Schardin texted one of the victims and asked where they were playing hockey. She showed up to the rink a short time later.
Once the team had returned to Colorado, Schardin continued to text the two victims, asking one of them not to contact the police.
Police were notified of the incident on Jan. 22, and Schardin was later arrested on Thursday. She told police she had come to the hotel for a “stay‐cation” with her family.
