This is basically my relationship with my girlfriend's mom summed up

Our families are literal mirror images of one another. Her late father was very outspoken...Spoke his mind to a fault (which bit him in the ass as he got older). But he was cool, fun to be around in spurts, and very hard working, but he was also very sensitive. Her mother is much more of a demure (I know..I know)traditional, domestic goddess type of woman. One of the best cooks i've ever met.

My mother is a lot like my wife's father. Speaks her mind, outspoken, hardworking, independent, and also very sensitive. My father on the other hand while very logical, ambitious, and hard working, is a "keep the peace" type of guy. You wont see him out bumping chests, or arguing people down.

In the end my wife is a lot like both of my parents in some respects...I think it's all about me being attracted to a certain energy and she embodies that. Outside of looking like her mother...I don't think she will ever be anything like her...And that's ok. They have gotten a lot closer since her father passed though.

My ex wife's mom was infinitely nicer than my ex wife, even in divorce. We still talk occasionally, 7 years on.

My last ex was Indian and I'm pretty sure she thoroughly disliked me.

She's cool. She's annoying cause she talks a lot and buys way too much stuff, but she's really a nice lady and I can't complain.

Sometimes I feel like I live in a bubble, I was looking to for somewhere to post that IG video and dead ass couldn't find one. When I opened the coli search all there was, was negativity.

I searched "girlfriend's Mother/family, mother in law, wife's family" and all that came up was Porno or Death and violence.

It was an eye opener again.
