Mark Ruffalo Interested in Doing Planet Hulk Movie

By Roth CornetAudiences will see Mark Ruffalo's return as Bruce Banner/The Hulk when Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters in just a few weeks. To date, we've only seen Ruffalo's version of the character in the context of the Avengers films, which has us wondering when we may get to see The Hulk spread his massive wings in a solo film. Or as an additional player in another Marvel movie, a la Black Widow in Iron Man 2 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

IGN had the opportunity to speak with Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson about Avengers: Age of Ultron recently - stay tuned for more on that! During our conversation, we touched on what may be ahead for Hulk and Ruffalo teased what could be - for many fans - a dream come true.

Mark Ruffalo: "I think there's a lot of places to go with him [Hulk]."

Scarlett Johansson: "Like where?"

IGN: "Space?"

Ruffalo: "Well he's going to space. Yeah, I mean there's some talk of maybe Planet Hulk."

IGN: "Would you like to see that?"

Ruffalo: "I'd be completely interested in entertaining that."
Johansson: "Do they have a Starbucks there? That's what I want to know."

Ruffalo: [Laughs] "They don't. It's pretty bleak."

They could conceivably disguise world war hulk as an avengers movie if they wanted or if they were concerned about it being a huge hit, kinda how civil war is being packaged as a captain america movie, if it's faithful to the comic. Planet hulk I think would be a much bigger risk I think. But I like your idea a lot.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, as well. It's hella risky, one bad turn and it's John Carter of Mars. But World War Hulk with him fukking up every faction of Avengers can be classic. They can even have him bring the Warbound (Elloe Kaifi, Hiroim, Korg and maybe Skaar). Let's see what they do.

Korg's race is already established in the MCU, as well. His brother got that work from Thor in Dark World

I could see the Inhumans post credit scene as the fight on the Moon from the beginning of WWH, to set up the full movie.
