Mark Henry Reveals New Backstage Role with WWE - eWrestlingNews.com

Basically, Mark Henry is doing "checks and balances" and being a backstage enforcer. :birdman:

The new cats are spoiled brats not cleaning up after themselves and being late to shows and talking back to staff and Mark Henry is going to be at all TV Shows & PPVs trying to keep them organized and accountable and daring cats to step to him.

38:00 - Mark Henry talks about how the stigma of wrestlers were tarnished from the wrestlers in the 80's steriod era and him, Rock, D-Lo, BSK, etc had to re-establish a good situation with rental companies to see wrestlers in a better light going forward into the 90's

It looks like WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry has a new role with WWE. After his Hall Of Fame induction, and seemingly being done as a full-time in-ring talent, “The World’s Strongest Man” has found a new way to help the company. Speaking to the “Notsam Wrestling Podcast”, Henry revealed that he’ll now be at all WWE pay-per-views (PPV).

He noted that locker room etiquette hasn’t been what it’s supposed to be given that a lot of veterans aren’t backstage as regularly anymore. With his presence backstage at each PPV now, Henry will be looking to correct that:

“Me being gone this last year and a half, there’s a lot of stuff that’s happened in the locker room that would’ve never happened under my watch. People arguing and fussing about stuff. There’s been a couple of people be habitually late, which Vince hates. But he don’t have Taker or Me.

“Booker’s not there — only at TV. Big Show’s been injured. So all the guys that hold peoples’ face to the fire is not there. That sh*t is fixing to come to an abrupt stop. Because I will be at all pay-per-views now. We’re gonna reestablish the chain-of-command. People used to call it “the stooges”.

“You can call me whatever you wanna call me. But what you won’t do is make the business look bad.”

Roman Reigns was a terrible locker room leader.
Roman seems like the kind of dude who wouldn't give a hot nut fukk about any of this. As long as you weren't Enzo-level wildin', the Big Dog would let you rock, I feel.

Which probably isn't good in the world of pro wrestling, with all it's arbitrary rules and traditions.

(Arbitrary except the part about not being late for work. That's just what you supposed to do).

just because you're being pushed to the top doesn't mean you're the de facto locker room leader

you never heard stories about hogan, austin, or rock being the "locker room leader" and they were pushed higher than anybody

cena admitted he didn't give a shyt about any of that shyt
