Mario Kart 8 Deluxe new DLC proves the switch is here to stay for a long time

So it was revealed today that Mario Kart 8 which originally came out in 2014 is getting new DLC. It includes over 48 tracks and they will be released in batches over the next two years.

Thats kind of proves mario kart 9 is no where in sight as I doubt that will release it during 8 getting DLC and that Nintendo probably isn’t gonna launch a new console while their biggest game is currently getting big DLC updates.

That means at minimum switch is here for another two years. Nintendo wasn’t lying when they said its still in the middle of its life cycle

I’m just so confused why nintendo haven’t been updating the game this entire time? This seems like such a no brainer to me. You got 43m people that own this game if at least half those people get the DLC its like a shyt load of money

48 new tracks for Matio Kart 8 is kinda crazy.

They already said Switch is not dead they are only halfway through their life cycle for it. Switch Pro is probably just Switch 2

Honestly with how this game sold these past 5 years without any new content kinda seems like a no-brainer move from Nintendo. The DLC is actually kind of crazy.

Looks like the Switch 2 (or whatever the next-gen one ends up being called) ain't happening till 2026 at the earliest.

These fools are never making a sequel to this. Playing BOTW 2 on an original switch though
