yo i was wondering whats your experience with having a beat website. Im thinkin about getting one but i have about 500 dollars to my name so i cant exactly spend money everywhere. Im confident people will dig my beats but without a marketing team or manager idk how profitable a website would be, given that it costs hundreds to maintain one.
The site does costs money to maintain as well as business expenses, but it's all about what you want to invest your money in. It is worth it if you can get the right people to your beats. You have to look at it as a career as opposed to just "selling beats", its more than that. The beats are only one part of a brand that you want to make through the website. Now if you just want to go off of beats alone that works to but you still have to be willing to invest in marketing, promotion and developing relationships with people so that you can continue to sell whatever products you offer. However if you don't invest any money into it at the offset, then you can't expect great returns. A lot of it is beating that fear factor that people who initially go into selling beats have. They say
"Nobody's buying beats anymore," or "It Can't be done" That's simply not true. However you must also be realistic. It's true that you won't make money overnight. and that's because it takes time to market and brand. Production is a service, and no matter what, people will pay for quality.
I hope I gave you some good insight, if you have anymore questions feel free to let me know.
