Game is actually set to release after all this time just a few months from now... and they were still scared shytless of actually letting everyone know/showing it off at the biggest gaming event of the year.Arc Raiders becoming what it is killed the last, slim hope of this having any chance of survival, especially since it's dropping with a price tag and not as a F2P game.

there ain’t no room for Bungie though they’re on thin ice. if this don’t at least hit number one on the PlayStation Store for two weeks, win some game awards and a few top ten lists, they’re gonna be regulated to working on the next Helldivers. This game has to be well supported for at least a year.I think there’s room for multiple games in the genre. These genres are very niche, they’re not as big as we want to think. Tarkov literally came out of beta a few months ago.
It's less about there being room for multiple games and more the fact that Bungie decided it was a good a idea to make a type of game they have never made before for players that never asked for it. Not one person wanted this over a Destiny 3 but Bungie's hubris was far too much. It not going to go over well for them. Development started in 2019 ?
