Honestly the impressions I'm seeing have been pretty mixed at best, movement and loot in particular not going down great.
It does look like the AI in game is no joke though.

I believe movement is due to the heat/stamina system they have in place.
I like it, it does look punishing but there are mods/skill trees to help with that.
I believe Bungie doesn’t want the game to be too fast paced. I personally dislike game where all that bunny hopping movement is possible.
I don’t know what the loot complaint is, could you elaborate

I haven't played it yet but from watching the KF stream yesterday the loot they have out didn't look particularly interesting.
I get what you are saying re: movement but players are conditioned to fast movement, sliding etc like Apex.
It’s got potential. Definitely captures that “ok, one more run” feeling. Matchmaking takes a little too long. The movement is sluggish at times, had to up the sensitivity with the quickness. I do get why they did that though. you need to be able to slow down and spot the loot boxes.. I feel that if they’re charging for this, there’s gotta be way more content than what they got here. This shyt ain’t gon last but two weeks with these no lifers playing it nonstop unlocking upgrades.
And ofc you got the usual suspects that have been playing since it launched acting a fool in the voice chat… Like let a nikka learn the controls damn! there’s literally no stakes.. all your progress will be wiped. Go find some friends to play with if you that concerned about winning you bum. But I digress, not really a Marathon issue. I’m enjoying it more and more as I play. Makes me wanna load up Destiny/Apex later.

Go look at Escape from Tarkov, the Hunt 1896, Delta Force Hawk Ops movement and compare it against that.
