rewatched this earlier,
what the hell was the original gameplan
apparently undertaker throwing him off the cage wasn't supposed to happen
neither was da chokeslam threw da cage or even the tacks.

Was everything just made up on the spot? how were they intending to get down from the cage after the match started up there

I think from an interview some of those spots weren't cleared by Vince. Foley just told Taker what to do before the match

It was. Foley himself has said that the only thing that wasn’t planned was the chair landing on his face, which legit knocked him unconscious, gave him a concussion and caused his tooth to become lodged in his nose. If you look at the first punch he takes after that spot he just crumbles to the mat, which is why Funk took a chokeslam to stall time and allow Foley to come to his senses somewhat
