Man, 56, on fire at Penn Station in NYC, week after woman burned alive on subway

No arrests had been made stemming from the incident, the NYPD spokesperson said.

MTA Police in New York City responded to calls of a man on fire at Penn Station late Friday evening.

An NYPD spokesperson confirmed that officers responded to the station at 8:10 pm. on Friday. The victim was reportedly a 56-year-old man who was transported NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center for treatment. No status on his condition was given.

Multiple sources reported the fire occurred near an escalator in the station but NYPD did not confirm exactly where the fire took place.

Think this one was someone getting high and burning themselves up rather than what happened to that woman recently.

The only details is that he was apparently near the escalator, caught on fire somehow, and then was taken to the hospital.

Other than that, the NYPD hasn't released any details on what happened.
