Tom Wolfe's best maybe, and a stunning portrayal of Atlanta, that has some issues, due to Tom Wolfe being a privilged white guy, but it's an accurate look. Just following Atlanta loosely over the years, BMF, scandals, RICO indictments, it's all in the book, the mixture of politics, race, crime, I mean that's ANY city but Atlanta is unique because of it's past and proximity to the Jim Crow South and the 1700's.
Decent quick watch. The ending was very abrupt
From the books this could be eight episodesthat ending caught me off-guard.. needs this to be longer.

I don't know who I thought to play the ex wife, but you can't get no better than Diane Lane
I haven't finished the show but I read the book.Yeah I was left wondering wtf the point of all this was.
Also, the whole trial/jail stuff felt like a totally different show and unrelated to the main plot
