(If you don't eat processed cereal this thread ain't for you)
In recent years, several cereal makers have been changing their recipes. Some of them have announced these recipe changes, others have changed it, and not said anything.
Example -(Kellogg) Smacks changed their recipe and announced it. (Post) Fruity Pebbles has changed the recipe, and didn't say anything. (I know they changed it, those things haven't been tasting right for a while)
Kellogg also changed the recipe to Coco Krispies
Where does Malt-O-Meal come in? A lot of Malt-O-Meals "off brand" cereals now taste more like the originals than these new cereals with changed recipes. (I don't think they have an off brand version of coco krispies, unfortunately) Also, Post owns Malt-O-Meal, so it's like they kept the old fruity pebbles recipe for their off brand version, and changed it for the brand version.
