"The original Gonzo style documatardo. A song inspires a documentary. The crew travels to Long Island's Roosevelt Field Mall and captures an amazing study of mall culture circa 1983. A time capsule of fashion, attitude and youth. The video climaxes with the song that inspired the journey, recorded live by the oriy Rawtones at the infamy Hargrovia house in Monsey, NY."

I was born two years later so my first memories of the mall are from the early 1990s, but this still brought me back with how active and social the mall use to be.
By the mall was still a good spot to hang out and holla at girls in my teen years on Saturday nights but the mall wasn't like it use to be in the 1990s.

Anyone else get the feeling that the filmmakers were trying to pick up girls on the low :mjlol:

Found this on YouTube and then found this thread on Google when doing more research on this documentary.

What a time capsule. Dudes making this were definitely trying to pick up chicks. :mjlit:
Makes me miss the days when the mall was popping. Would've loved to had been older during it's prime years :steviej:
