I had Pokemon at level 40 before getting through Rock Tunnel during my first run because of my abject refusal to go into Diglett's Cave.

u gotta beat the game once at least with all them to really get the true satisfaction of knowing nikkas cant fukk with you... starting the game with charmander is the hardest tho
